Exploring the Island of Tenerife

If you’re visiting the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, get yourself a car and explore the island to it’s fullest.

The first time I ever went to Tenerife, I didn’t have a car. So, I was fairly restricted to one area of the island, and found that within a couple of days I ran out of things to see and do. Of course this has nothing to do with the company I kept; which was my partner, dad and brother. But, I did find activity wise, without a car, it was in short supply. Now, for many, this might have been okay. Especially if all they wanted to do was to relax, unwind and shop. But, being an intrepid traveller (when I can that is) I love to explore explore and explore some more.

The second time I went to Tenerife, I was visiting my dad who was living there and this time he had a car and I finally got my chance to discover everything the wonderful island has to offer. Any boy what a treat. From hiking volcanoes to wandering through zoos and sipping delicious coffees at seaside towns.

Here’s a few snapshots of my amazing time there.
