Beauty Recap: How My Skin Felt 2 Week’s After Laser
Two weeks after having a laser skin treatment, I thought I’d check in to tell you want I thought and how my skin feels.
I’m going to keep this blog super short, especially as I’ve already blogged about my whole first EVER laser skin treatment, which was around two weeks ago.
If you missed that blog, you can read it here.
In short, two weeks ago, I had my very first laser skin treatment with Skin Renu in Balmain. It was truly amazing, though incredibly uncomfortable afterwards, with the whole face on fire and tomato red LOL.
Two weeks later and I wanted to check in with you to chat about what I felt, thought and experienced during the post recover after the treatment.
Firstly I’d like to say, I have actually seen some noticeable differences in the elasticity, tone and overall my skin looks less wrinkly around the edges if that makes sense.
Although I didn’t have that many wrinkles to begin with and I’m pretty happy with the way my skin is ageing (yes, I am actually being completely honest there). I did start to notice a few ageing areas around the eyes and lips, which is often the most popular place for many women to show sign of ageing.
Also, I noticed a lot of scarring had disappeared and pigmentation had dramatically reduced.
With all that aside, I am a little disappointed to report I haven’t seen any revolutionary cha he’s in my skin which have made me believe it is the next best thing from Microdermabrasion. Which I have done once a week & always have noticeable differences within the week of having one.
Of course, this could be the result of me having them regularly, when the laser was only once. Though, the way my skin was afterwards (all red, itchy and sun burnt), I fa our the micro facial over the laser, 100 percent and will definitely be staying with the micro treatment going on.
The evolutionary step of upgrading to laser is a no go for me.
Of course, it probably didn’t help one week after the treatment, my cycle started. Which resulted in hormone breakouts and excessively oily skin. So, again, it was difficult to see how I benefited from the laser, when I broke out the following week.
No reflection at all on Skin Renu and their treatment process of course. They were absolutely fabulous. The staff was amazing and so careful and I formative. And the clinic is simply stunning, so relaxing and luxurious.
For me however, I prefer to use less evasive skin treatments as I don’t believe my skin benefited too much from the laser treatment and suffering the burn once a month for perfect skin, if that’s what I’d have to do to get the full benefit, is not worth it.
