My Beauty Obsession: Bye Bye Breakout by it Cosmetics

This one product has been my skin’s saviour whilst I have been in self-isolation. I simply can’t live without it.

it Cosmetics is probably one of the most sold out beauty line of cosmetics here in Australia (not sure about the rest of the world), and it’s no wonder why.

I fell in love with it Cosmetics around three years ago when I first tried the Bye Bye Breakout Concealer and the Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Foundation. Revolutionary. I had been searching for the right foundation for so long, so when I finally had the chance to trial these two, I was very happy with the results.

Not only did the foundation not dry out and cake, it blended in with my combination skin nicely enough, helping me achieve the no makeup makeup look. Which can be challenging when my skin jumps for being too oily one day and then very dry the next.

Prior to trialling the foundation by it Cosmetics, I struggled with my combination skin, findings that most foundations never really suited how quickly my skin fluctuated from one extreme to another.c Leaving my skin excessively oily looking one day with any other foundation, and then dry and flaky the next on my super dry days.

But I dwell one the foundation, and it’s the Bye Bye Breakout Concealer I really want to talk about.

Like the foundation, this is one the brands biggest sellers and it always really difficult to purchase. So when the lockdown restriction took effect across Australia, around the same time I ran out of my concealer, I freaked. Knowing full well Sephora would be closing their doors to the public and resuming sales online only, I knew it would be challenging to get the product when it sells out both in store and online so quickly.

I was in luck though, I got in and was able to purchase two before they all sold out. The foundation however, which I had run out of also, was sold out, so I had to settle for a mini version off it. Which turned out okay in the end, as I have been reducing the amount of foundation I wear daily whilst in self-isolation.

This one of the very few concealers available where you can easily use it to cover your while face if you don’t wish to wear any foundation at all. Though, I have never done that with this concealer, as you don’t really need to. A little goes a long way and when you use the it Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe™ Complexion Perfection Brush #7 which has one large brush for liquid foundation on one end, and then a smaller brush perfect for applying concealer on the other end, you can easily blend this concealer into your natural skin colour to cover blemishes only.

Meaning, you don’t need to cover your entire skin. though if you decided you wanted to anyways, this concealer is entirely breathable and made from some fairly outstanding ingredients which not only work to give you flawless coverage to cover skin concerns, it will also treat the blemishes and heal them ten times fast. Yep, you heard me. The stuff actually works.

As I have been using my time in self-isolation to really take a break from wearing any foundation, I have been living and breathing this product. Although my skin has been revitalised and replenished since being in self-isolation as I have not been wearing any heavy foundations, or any other makeup for that matter. But the doesn’t mean I don’t still get the odd breakout here to there.

Generally at that very special time of the month, I am prone to hormonal breakouts, and the Bye Bye Breakouts Concealer has always been my saving grace in helping them heal faster. Though it can still be challenging from time to time when you are out nearly every day, wearing foundations, powders and even bronzers all day long – and of course there is the environmental factor as well.

Without sounding too much like an ad for the brand, most of the products have been developed with plastic surgeons and the Bye Bye Breakout is ideal for acne prone skin as it’s infused with anti-aging peptides and hydrolyzed collagen, oil-absorbing zinc oxide (which is amazing for drying up blemishes suer fast). Kaolin clay, witch hazel, tea tree, sulfur and a gentle AHA/BHA complex.

Yum yum and yum – the best ever ingredients for treating all blemishes.

I have been enjoying my relationship with this product a lot, as I have been dabbing it on blemishes, blending with the brush and that’s it. Nothing else. This is easy to get away with, when I am not meeting with friends and family, attending any work meetings or events. Because of course, when the time comes that these activities kick back off again, I will need to go full makeup pro again, to ensure I look good for the photos LOL.

But for now, it’s just me and my Bye Bye Breakout and I love it.
