Where to See The Best Christmas Lights on Houses in Sydney

If you’re looking for the best streets in Sydney to explore Christmas lights on houses, I have found you the best streets.

I searched high and low for the best streets in Sydney too explore the Christmas light decorations people have installed this year, and believe me, these houses have gone next level with their lights and you won’t be disappointed.

And not all of these houses are in city streets either. Some are located out went, in the inner west and even south. So there’s a street for anyone, no matter what area you live in. Just be prepared to park the car a few blocks away to walk for the lights, as some of these streets are drawing in a seriously busy crowd, as they light up their houses for 2019.

BONDI JUNCTION:

You’ll want to check out Denison Street for some seriously pretty house lights.

MASCOT:

Take a walk through Coward Street, Alfred Street and David Street, as little houses have decked their walls with lights.

MATRAVILLE:

Most of Matraville have lit up their houses this year. Check out Barwon Crescent, Larose Street, Gwydir Avenue, Knowles Street, Flanders Avenue and Franklin Street have lit up their homes with some spectacular lights.

SOUTH HURSTVILLE:

Hit up 29 Grosvenor Road for an amazing light show, which will be on up until the end of December. They will also be playing Christmas movies for kids and families every Saturday night until the 21st December 2019. A small donation towards the Starlight Foundation is also required to visit and watch the movie here.

KOGARAH:

3 Souter Street has an incredible display of lights on their home. The light show will be running from 8pm to 10pm every night up until the 3rd January 2020. And whilst you’re in the area, swing past number 36 Madres Avenue who have decked their house with more than 50,000 lights WOW! There is also a singing bear and reindeer to enjoy.

SUTHERLAND:

9 Algate Street is glowing with Christmas lights and 42 The Woods Circuit have colour coordinated their amazing light decorations for something not to be missed.

ENGADINE:

For one of the most lit up houses across Sydney, head over to number 131 Ridge Road, as the house is literally coated in lights from top to bottom.

ROSELANDS:

124 Karne Street have opted to create a Christmas Spectacular this year, raising funds for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. There’s a, ice-cream truck, games to be had, items to buy, entertainment and of course an incredible Christmas light show on the house to enjoy. All monies go straight to the Children’s Hospital.

NORTHERN BEACHES:

Elaine Avenue takes Christmas very seriously and no house on the street has been left unadorned by Christmas lights, which is really an incredible sight to see. Go early, as the lights switch on after 8pm, find a good spot to park and then stroll up and down the avenue before there crowds hit (and believe me they will) and enjoy the lights of the houses as they all switch on for the night. So pretty.

Of course, there are so many more, but these are my favourite. I have gone and checked out a few, though I still want to see a few more. I can’t get enough of Christmas lights, and I always go exploring on Christmas Even to see the best houses.

I’d love to hear of any other great location you have seen for Christmas Lights on houses.
