Where to See the Best Christmas Lights in Sydney
There is only one place you are going to want to visit this year. The Hills Song Church of Castle Hill First a disclaimer, I am not a member of Hills Song – not that there’s anything wrong with that. I just want to make that very clear. Last weekend, I came up with an idea to head to my old neighbourhood of Castle Hill after dinner, for a late night hot chocolate and a stroll through the newly finished Metro which has been decked out with cool inflatable Christmas decorations, lit up with festive colours for the season. Castle Hill can be super congested at the best of times,…

DIY Gingerbread House
I made my very first gingerbread house – I can’t believe it has taken me this long to make one. Okay, so I semi-cheated on this one and actually purchased a a kit from Ikea to help me achieve my first first gingerbread house project. But it still required a lot of work to put the house together. Of course, it took a while for me to figure out the whole icing situation. I did follow a recipe I found online, as no icing comes with the gingerbread kit from IKEA. But the recipe wasn’t strong enough to hold the house and didn’t set fast enough – too funny. Here…

Christmas Decor – How I Decorated My Home
Wanting to adopt a woodsy theme for Christmas this year, I took to Pinterest for a little decorating inspiration to see how to channel by woodsy vibes. I wasn’t entirely successful – to a point. Which I am fairly happy about in the end anyway. And IKEA was a life saver as they do sell some very cute little woodsy decor for Christmas. My fave are their red robins, which they sell every year, and every…

Christmas Decorating: Seeking Inspiration from Pinterest
This year, I wanted to go a little woodsy for my Christmas Decor, without having to spend too much money at the shops. So, as always, I took to Pinterest for a little inspiration to help me with how I could decorate my own home and how to achieve a woodsy look. Of course, my theme ended up being a little more country woodsy then woodland woodsy. I’ll publish those pics next Wednesday for you to see how my decorating ended up. However, I am pretty happy with the theme I chose this year. Even if it didn’t end up being as woodland as I had hoped. Woodland in Australia…

DIY Christmas Wreath – How to Make One
Almost every year, I find myself making some DIY Christmas decoration. This year it was wreaths. Okay, so if you have been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that several years ago, I made a Christmas wreath back then too. However, my skills have definitely developed, going next level with my design skills and wreath making. Now, this wreath was given to my BFF as a Christmas present, which is why she is featured in the cover photo of this blog. So, of course, I had to take my design skills to the next level to produce something I was not only proud of, but something she would…
