Let’s get festive. It is the most wonderful time of the year after all. And after the year we have had, we deserve a little fun – don’t we? No matter what age you are, there is always some fun to be had by all this time of the year. Christmas is my favourite time of the year. And I especially love that the festive vibe lasts all month. I’m Celebrating Christmas the European Way
Did you know in Europe, Christmas is celebrated as a season not just for the day? The season stretches far beyond Christmas Day, right up until the 6th January. Okay, so I semi-cheated on this one and actually purchased a a kit from Ikea to help me achieve my first first gingerbread house project. But it still required a lot of work to put the house together. Of course, it took a while for me to figure out the whole icing situation. I did follow a recipe I found online, as no icing comes with the gingerbread kit from IKEA. But the recipe wasn’t strong enough to hold the house and didn’t set fast enough – too funny. Here…

Christmas Decor – How I Decorated My Home
Wanting to adopt a woodsy theme for Christmas this year, I took to Pinterest for a little decorating inspiration to see how to channel by woodsy vibes. I wasn’t entirely successful – to a point. As I was trying to work with what I already had, so not to go out and spend too much money. I ended up with more of a country woody theme for my decor. Which I am fairly happy about in the end anyway. And IKEA was a life saver as they do sell some very cute little woodsy decor for Christmas. My fave are their red robins, which they sell every year, and every…
