Guided by Light: A Little More Light in Everyday Life

I have launched my new merchandise ‘Guided by Light’ inspired by a little intention I set myself every day.

There’s something I’ve always loved about little reminders. A few words, a piece of jewellery, something you wear, or even something sitting on your desk can catch your eye at just the right moment and remind you of how you want to feel.

That was the little idea behind Guided by Light. I wanted to create something that felt positive without being overly serious, something beautiful enough to actually want to wear, but with a meaning behind it too. Guided by Light is about trusting your own path, following what feels right for you and remembering that even when life feels a little messy or uncertain, there can still be a sense of lightness, hope and possibility.

And so, I decided to turn those words into a little collection for my Etsy shop.

Introducing Guided by Light

The new collection includes a few different pieces, because I wanted there to be something for different moods, styles and everyday moments.

First is the Guided by Light luxury-style hoodie, which is probably my favourite kind of piece for those cosy days when you want to feel comfortable but still look put together. It comes in a choice of colours including blue, maroon, green, beige, charcoal and chocolate, so you can choose the one that feels most like you.

There is also a Guided by Light embroidered crew neck jumper, a classic, easy-to-wear style that works beautifully with jeans, leggings or layered over your favourite winter pieces. It is available in blue, green, crimson and grey.

For something a little more casual, there’s the Guided by Light vintage corduroy baseball-style hat. I love the idea of taking the words with you wherever you go — whether you’re heading out for a walk, travelling, running errands or simply having one of those relaxed weekends where you don’t really have a plan.

And then there’s the piece that makes the collection particularly personal: the Guided by Light engraved natural stone bead bracelet.

The bracelet features a personalised bar, meaning you can choose Guided by Light or, if you’d rather make it completely your own, have your name added instead. I really love this option because sometimes the most meaningful reminders are the ones that are personal to us.

Why Guided by Light?

I think we all go through periods in life when we need a little reminder to keep going.

Sometimes that might mean trusting yourself. Sometimes it might mean letting go of something that no longer feels right. Sometimes it might simply mean remembering to slow down and appreciate the little things. For me, Guided by Light isn’t about pretending that everything is perfect. Life definitely isn’t perfect — and I don’t think it needs to be.

It’s more about finding your way through the ups and downs, listening to yourself, noticing the good moments and allowing yourself to believe that there is always another chapter waiting to unfold. I wanted the range to reflect that feeling. Something simple. Something wearable. Something that could become part of your everyday life rather than something that sits in a cupboard because it feels too precious to use.

More Than Just Guided by Light

While I’m really excited about the new collection, Guided by Light is joining a much bigger mix of little things I love creating for my Etsy shop.

My shop has always been a bit of a creative outlet for me, and I love the idea that it can bring together lots of different things rather than being limited to one particular style or product. Alongside the new Guided by Light range, you’ll also find my handmade lip balms, which are practical little treats for keeping your lips soft and cared for, as well as handmade beaded keychains in an assortment of colours and designs.

And because I absolutely love Christmas, there are also personalised baubles, where you can add a name and choose your own colour scheme — or let me come up with a design for you. So, in a way, my Etsy shop is a little collection of the things I enjoy: creating, personalising, making things feel special and finding ways to add a little bit of beauty and personality to everyday life.

A Little Something Made With Meaning

I don’t think everything we buy needs to have a huge story behind it. Sometimes you just see something you love and think, that’s cute — I want it! But I do think there’s something lovely about having a few things around you that carry a little extra meaning.

Maybe it’s a bracelet with your name on it. Maybe it’s a cosy jumper embroidered with words that remind you of something important. Maybe it’s a personalised Christmas bauble that comes out every year and becomes part of your family’s Christmas memories.

Or perhaps it’s simply a keychain, lip balm or favourite piece of clothing that makes you smile. That’s really what I hope my little Etsy shop becomes — a collection of things that are useful, pretty, personal, fun and, every now and then, just a little bit meaningful. And Guided by Light is my newest chapter in that story.
