Where to Eat Vegan in Wollongong

Looking for a vegan and gluten free cafe in Wollongong? You need to try Quay Canteen.

Every year, my bestie and I head south to Shoalhaven, to attend the Million Paws Walk, which I blogged about on Sunday. And every year, we try and track down a suitable vegan and gluten free cafe, which can be rather challenging in Wollongong and surrounding areas.

Although we have been pretty successful (sort of) each time we have gone down south, the last two years (including this year) we have eaten at the Quay Canteen and we are both absolutely in love with the place.

It’s quant, personal, ambient, cosy, comfy, friendly staff, you can take dogs and the food and coffee is great.

Oh, and they also cater for those of you who aren’t gluten free or vegan too. So really anyone can go and enjoy a good meal. And the prices are so reasonable, you’ll make sure to treat yourself to their amazing gluten free donuts.

Now, the donuts aren’t as delicious as Nutie Donuts, because let’s face it, they are just too good to beat. Well according to me anyway LOL.

I highly recommend anyone who is traveling through Wollongong to check this cafe out, it’s so worth the stop to try their coffee and their gluten free eats.

Last year I had their smashed avo on gluten free toast with a whole heap of other stuff, which to be honest I don’t remember what it was as it was a year ago now.

This time around I had a delicious gluten free, vegan Mexican open burrito bowl. It was so good. I polished it off with a chocolate gluten free donut. Now, that’s how I roll on a Sunday LOL.
